A M U L E T S

Each amulet begins with a stone.

I work primarily with natural gemstones whose color, structure and presence guide the creation that forms around them.  The fibers in my hands have their own way of movement, resulting in unique patterns and shapes.

All of the stones are carefully selected for their patterns and quality. For the ceremonial pieces I cut and polish the stones myself, allowing their form to emerge gradually before they become a part of the larger structure.

The making process is meditative and quite. I mostly work in my own way of chaotic stillness, listening to the materials with all my senses, as to the wider rhythms that move through the natural and cosmic world.

Every amulet is created individually and without repetition.  Some become Living Amulets, companions for everyday life.  Others take the form of Ceremonial Guardians, rare works that appear only a few times each year.
